Where to Ride Your UTV in Southern Texas
The Lone Star State is wide and vast, with hundreds of thousands of square miles of land that cover all different types of terrain. The state’s abundance of natural features like desert sands, forests, hills, river valleys, and the Gulf Coast make Texas a great place to ride a UTV! In the interest of brevity, however, we’ve rounded up a couple of great options throughout the state below so that you can start planning your next UTV adventure.
River Run ATV Park (Jacksonville, TX)
Located on the scenic Naches River, this park provides plenty of off-road riding opportunities for UTV enthusiasts. The park is located on 2,000 acres of private land and boasts RV campgrounds and tent spaces, along with 40 cabins you can rent. The Neches River runs through the park, allowing for swimming and fishing when you’re finished with your off-road ride. Check out their ongoing roster of fun events, too!
Northwest OHV Park (Bridgeport, TX)
Created in 2007 by several local off-roading fanatics, the Northwest OHV Park boasts 300 acres of riding fun for the whole family. All the trails are marked with their degree of difficulty, so you’ll have no problem finding something that’s suited to your skill level as a UTV operator. With 25 miles of trails, it’s hard to imagine getting bored here!
Sabine ATV Park (Burkeville, TX)
This 3,000-acre off-roading park is perfect for taking your UTV out for a spin. You can ride through mud, deep-water trails, or climb some of the park’s many hills for a novel challenge. There are a number of creeks and streams crisscrossing the park, which feed the nearby Sabine River, so you'll have ample opportunity to get muddy.
Hidden Falls Adventure Park (Marble Falls, TX)
Open between Thursday and Sunday, the Hidden Falls Adventure Park provides you with a couple of dozen excellent UTV trails of varying difficulty. All of them have plenty of twists and turns, and you can also camp overnight to extend your visit.
Alligator Run Offroad Park (Easton, TX)
As Texas’ largest off-roading powersports vehicle park, Alligator Run is filled with fun sand dunes, jumps, mud pits, and even a “Twist & Shout” obstacle course that you can cruise through. The park is open from Fridays at 8 AM to Sundays at 8 PM, and there are also camping spots if you want to make your UTV adventure last all weekend.
